Change for Kerridge
After a few exciting and probably stressful weeks for Tom Kerridge, there is more positive news on the horizon

Tom Kerridge to open another..
It's clearly a busy time for Tom Kerridge, not so long ago, it was reported the Butcher's Tap and Grill in Chelsea was closing, today we learn that the big man is to open The Chalk Freehouse in Chelsea with Tom De Keyser formerly of the Hand and Flowers, Tom's first pub in Marlow.
We are all aware of the existence of the H&F, and for those who aren't, well you should be. It was the first and only pub to gain TWO Michelin stars and it has become Tom's flagship ever since.
From the H&F, he slipped up the road and opened the Coach, and then he gained momentum and now has The H&F, The Coach, The Butcher's Tap - Marlow, Kerridge at the Corinthia - Trafalgar, Lush, The Shed - Marlow and Kerridge's Fish & Chips at Harrods.
Tom De Keyser is a robust, efficient and extremely talented chef, and will ensure that every plate leaving the pass at The Chalk will be soigne.
Tom DK, having already been with Kerridge for 13 years, will be replaced at The H&F helm by The Coach's Head Chef Sarah Hayward, so the commute for her will be varied by approximately 45 seconds, pending which direction she enters Marlow. Sarah herself is no stranger to the various sites within the group, having previously worked at the Bull & Bear in Manchester when Kerridge was up with Gary Neville and Co AND was crowned Michelin's Chef of the Year in 2023.
The Chalk Freehouse will need a small bit of renovation, and is set to open on the 16th June as sister to the Hand & Flowers; one can only assume that it will be aiming to be another of Tom's properties with the highly acclaimed Michelin star, but how many will they opt for!
